In a tougher worldwide market NENA will help enterprises and clusters of alpine core economic sectors to be more competitive especially by making use of the innovation potentials. More networking, a better market orientation, good strategies and the mobilisation of co-operation synergies within and between the different economic sectors are the main objects NENA wants to reach. On a long term, jobs will be saved and created in the participating SMEs. All three aspects of sustainable development – economic, social and ecological – will be enhanced. The exchange of know-how, the initiation of co-operations, the offer of training, the tearing down of language barriers as well as image enhancing measures for SMEs are the tasks of the future network. By involving partners from urban and rural areas, NENA will help to attenuate the increasing polarisation. | | Project Objectives | NENA has as objectives the implementation of pilot projects on regional level, most of which will be complementary or similar to each other. Pilot project examples are the establishment of an “Innovation Assistant”, innovation contest in “Timber Construction”, Native resources certificate, Raising energy efficiency in the building sector. On an alpine wide level a core group of SMEs from urban and rural regions will found a network based on agreed common goals and network activities. An international and national network structures will be established and will assure the permanence and the further enlargement of the network.
