Through their educational facilities they contribute to improving the competitive ability of domestic companies. They will help to inform SMEs about all project activities and will provide valuable inputs on project results.

In CIRCULAR4.0 RKW will support the project partner Umweltcluster Bayern (UCB) with their competencies and long-lasting experience in advising SMEs on digitalisation during the implementation of the pilot. This includes helping UCB identify those SMEs „ready“ for a digital transformation towards circular business models, connecting them with even more multipliers and trainers and, overall, helping UCB implement the training package on eye level with SMEs.

This connection will allow an effective transfer of the project results and the implementation of the recommendations. Digitalisation is a key enabling factor for the transition to circular business models in SMEs, Lombardy Region will use the project outcome to better address its innovation measures for a more sustainable production system.
